The renovation emphasized light wood textures, soft whites, and black accents, creating a clean and spacious flow throughout.

A standout feature is the custom wall in the living area, which connects the foyer cabinet with a long bench , complete with hidden power sockets for convenience.

Using Hafary tiles for flooring and KompacPlus surfaces in the bathrooms, the home blends practicality with elegance, resulting in a space that feels peaceful and timeless.

To achieve this, we hacked a bedroom to extend the living area, adding built-in carpentry for smart storage, and designing versatile layouts that could adapt for family time or gatherings.

The home features clever details like a foyer arch settee with niche lighting, an operable bi-fold wall to merge or separate dining and living, and a false wall with hidden bathroom access. Serene at Edgefield Plains – Modern Mediterranean Warmth

At Edgefield Plains, Serene embodies the rustic charm of seaside living blended with modern Mediterranean warmth. This home brings together whitewashed walls, warm wood tones, and natural textures to create an atmosphere reminiscent of a breezy coastal retreat.

The Renovation Journey

For newlyweds Cephas and Celesta, their first home was about achieving a bare, clean, and timeless concept. The vision was inspired by beachside houses airy white walls paired with rustic wooden carpentry in warm tones. We achieved this by crafting spaces that feel natural and seamless, rather than heavy additions to the unit.

A focal point of the design is the kitchen island, which doubles as both a social hub and a natural bridge between the kitchen and living room. Paired with a dry pantry bar counter, it creates an inviting space for daily rituals and hosting friends. The TV feature wall, intentionally minimalist with subtle groove lines, echoes the texture of timber planks, adding rustic character without overwhelming the space.

With thoughtful integration, the renovation achieved a bright, breathable flow, allowing air and light to travel from the living windows through to the service yard, capturing the essence of coastal serenity.
